Job Description :

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate, GED and/or equivalent work experience.

• Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License

• Successful driving record for the past three years with no DUI convictions.

• Ability to maintain appropriate interpersonal relations with students, parents and others of the district.

• Ability to pass an annual drug test and additional drug tests as appropriate.

• Such alternatives to the above as the administration finds appropriate.

• Bi-lingual preferred, but not required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administers first aid for the purpose of providing immediate emergency care.

• Assists bus drivers as may be required by supporting them in the completion of

  their work activities.

• Monitors students on and/or around the buses for the purpose of providing for the safety and welfare of students.

• Secures students and/or equipment (e.g. wheelchairs, etc.) with restraints and/or tie downs for the purpose of ensuring the safety and welfare of students.

• Assists students with personal care requirements.

• Prepare reports (e.g. incident reports, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reference for follow-up actions.

• Reports observations and incidents (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, violations of campus rules, etc.) to appropriate school personnel.

• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
