Job Responsibility:

Job Summary

Manages multiple small and medium technology related initiatives, projects, and programs across multiple departments from initiation to implementation. Develops and maintains project plans, schedules, status reports, project risks, and other project-related artifacts utilizing organizational best practices.

Essential Functions

1. Facilitate the definition of service levels and customer requirements by interacting

with existing or potential stakeholders to determine their organizational needs and to

develop requirements documentation and cost benefit analyses.

2. Lead planning and/or implementation of projects by working with leadership and

seniors project team to develop realistic projects goals.

3. Conduct regular project and programs status reviews with project sponsors and

stakeholders to provide project accomplishments, issues and schedule.

4. Ensure best practices in areas such as Change Management, Risk Management,

Scope Management, Communications, Escalation, Project Resource Management,

and Cost Management are being used in managing projects

5. Work with departments throughout DCPS to resolve escalated project issues and

implement changes

6. Work with Functional Management to monitor and maintain project teams visibility on

day-to-day activities to ensure current resources capacity

7. Identify focus areas for ongoing process and performance improvements through the

appropriate use of lessons learned processes.

8. Facilitate the sharing of project Management techniques and guidance across the

organization.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Experience: Three (3) years of project management experience. Experience in government entity or public school preferred.

Certifications & Licenses: Relevant project management certification preferred.
