Job Description

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking applications for a full-time Warrants Clerk located within the Records Section at the Sheriff's Office Headquarters.

The major job duties include the entry of protective orders and all criminal paperwork to include warrants and capias into the Records Management System (RMS) and VCIN/NCIC as required by the Virginia Code. These entries require daily second party checks and monthly auditing. Additionally, they coordinate with other law enforcement agencies on fugitives from justice paperwork and transports. This position demands daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines. Applicants must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities while working under strict regulations conducting all facets of work in a professional team environment. Preferred applicant should have a strong background in law enforcement documents, be adept at multitasking, detail-oriented, prioritizing, and have the ability to learn at a fast pace.

Hiring salary commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; three (3) years of related clerical/administrative work experience with computer automated systems and Microsoft Office applications preferably in a government environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements

NCIC/VCIN certification within one (1) year of hire. Prefer CLEAR/Linx certification and Virginia Notary license.
