Job Responsibility:

Position Description

Harris County Justice of Peace Court handles criminal and civil cases that involve entering cases to Odyssey system, follow up with each case along with the case progressing and dispose the case when the requirements are fulfilled. We need clerks in various departments like HR, Finance, Criminal and Civil departments, and the selection is based on applicants' experiences. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Customer service.
• Data entry to Odyssey system.
• Answer phone calls, response to emails or handle mails from customers questioning about their cases.
• Follow up with cases along with case progressing till it is disposed.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Be able to type 30+ wpm.
• Be able to add and subtract numbers correctly and quickly.
• Experience in office software such as word and excel.
• Trainable and capable to learn new knowledge and software.
• Follow procedures and policies.

Preferences

Salary:

• $20.00 Hourly
• Based on 26 pay periods
