Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

• Ensures overall management of self pay receivables by working with patient, responsible party, Power of Attorney, guardians on a proactive approach to ensure cash flow and reduce bad debt
• Collection of patient balances after insurance pays. Hospital inpatient and outpatient, Nursing home and Adult daycare coinsurance, deductibles and out of pockets/patient liability
• Collection of accounts that are not balances after Insurance. Hospital inpatient and outpatient, Nursing Home and Adult Daycare balances that are the responsibiilty of the patient/resident to pay
• Works with patient/responsible party on tracking estate planning to ensure collectability of self pay. Informs the family of the Medicaid process proactively to ensure approval and therefore eliminate a gap in coverage
• Works with attorney firms on provided needed documentation to pursue cases such as, Guardianship, Contempt orders etc

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills. Degree or HS Diploma not required
• 1 to 3 years of nursing home collections experience including self pay
