Simulation AssistantRegis University R003815Northwest Denver CampusPosition Type: Temporary Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 Requested Start Date for this Position: 10/25/2023 - Today Campus Location: Northwest Denver Campus Full-time or Part-time: Part time Job Summary: Simulation Assistants work under the supervision of the Lab Manager to provide simulated clinical experiences for students in programs at Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professionals (RHCHP). This may include working as a standardized patient (acting to portray the role of a patient or family member) or operating a high-fidelity mannequin during scripted interactions with students. Acting or healthcare experience is not required. Candidates that are under 18 years of age on the date of hire will be required to provide a parent/guardian waiver prior to beginning employment. Candidates will be asked to complete a background check. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Follows scripted simulation scenarios which may include role play of a patient with medical condition in student interactions. Provide student feedback under the supervision of program faculty. Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to learn and follow a script to ensure standardization.
• The position requires good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with faculty, students, and other staff in a respectful and professional manner.
• Willingness to be flexible with scheduling and assignments. If hired, applicants will be required to complete a paid training session before working with students.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare simulation.
• The RHCHP Simulation Lab has a strong interest in employing individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Work Schedule: Hours and schedule vary based on program needs. Benefits-eligible for workers' compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
