Job Responsibility:

To maintain support of the premium audit function and ensure that audits are tracked and processed in accordance with company standards. This position requires that the individual enforce premium audit policy and procedure, collaborate with processing staff, underwriters, marketing, and agency staff to develop partnerships necessary to complete high quality, time sensitive premium audits that satisfy statutory requirements while meeting the directives of Executive Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide knowledgeable and responsive service to premium audit customers.
• Address issues related to non-productive audits with insureds, agents, underwriters, vendors, and billing.
• Order and track “special order” audits sent to various audit vendors.
• Track and monitor overdue audits, estimated audits and audit disputes assigned to audit vendors and internal staff throughout the premium audit lifecycle.
• Manage audit workflow to and from underwriting and rating department.
• Troubleshoot & resolve issues surrounding the rating of final audits.
• Verify quality and timeliness of completed vendor audits.
• Occasional entry of final audits in Power Writer (if trained).
• Manage or assist with special projects and tasks as needed.
• Work with processing to ensure accurate invoices and control of audit premiums sent to direct collections.
• Develops familiarity with all insurance manuals, premium audit manuals, handbooks, guides, and related materials.
• Resolves audited earned premium discrepancies with insured, agents, underwriting and collections as assigned.
• Assist with training internal staff on issues relating to premium audit.
  • Proper documentation for audit disputes, certificates of insurance, etc.
• Conduct periodic quality time service reviews of the premium audit vendors.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL:

• 1-3 years of experience in Premium Audit/rating/audit review
• Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet established target dates.
• Good problem-solving, decision-making skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Excellent math skills and number detail
• HS diploma or equivalent.

PREFFERRED:

• 1-3 years of experience in the P&C Insurance industry
• Strong work ethic
• Strong computer skills
