Position Description:

Responsible for supporting and advancing the overall body of work for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities' Learning and Development (L&D) Team through analysis, adult learning principles, facilitation, and coordination of a variety of learning & development initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works across the Learning & Development and Human Resources leadership teams to capture and refine ideas linked to overall vision, strategy and operational plan.
  • Designs, delivers, tracks and analyzes learner data; presents recommendations to improve learning and learner experience based on data analysis and knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Provides level-1 support for learner questions/issues, partners with LMS Administrator and IT as appropriate to ensure resolution.
  • Supports overall learner experience through targeted communications and learning events before, during and after formal learning experiences.
  • Works across the L&D team to help identify, design, develop and distribute learning support tools to learners as part of overall instructional design approach.
  • Partners with LMS Administrator to ensure learner records are maintained and accurate.
  • Collaborates with various departments and business units on learning related initiatives, providing project management and administrative support as needed.
  • Provides support for the Learning Management System (LMS), SharePoint, Outlook Training Calendar, Survey Monkey, and other tools as needed.
  • Works across the Learning & Development and Human Resources leadership teams to support key performance management activities; assists in the development of communication and change management strategies; Provides follow-up support to ensure leaders have the tools and resources necessary for key performance management activities.
  • Works across L&D team to ensure course materials & resources are maintained, with version control, in a central location; ensures materials & resources are prepared and ready for all learning events.
  • Develops instructional materials for classroom learning, blended learning and e-learning courses as needed.
  • Provides professional and engaging instruction and facilitation support for traditional classroom and virtual classroom experiences as needed.
  • As appropriate, attends GCNA learning council meetings.
  • Models Goodwill Core Values - Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, and Innovation.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • One to two years previous experience in HR or L&D, preferred.
  • Experience with MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in a proactive and collaborative manner.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and to deal with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to set high standards of performance for self and assume responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assigned tasks.
  • Experience creating materials and learning documents that are professional and polished.
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience planning, organizing and coordinating events or programs.
  • Ability to read and write English proficiently.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
