As the Sr. Financial Operations Associate, you will provide operational support for both Disney Cruise Line and Adventures by Disney lines of business. You will partner with various teams to process invoices within payment terms, mange vendor set up and verify payments are sent. You will work with both internal and external partners.
You will report to the Business Operations Manager
Your Responsibilities - How You Will Make a Difference
- Review and process vendor invoices in a timely manner
- Support internal partners with vendor set-ups and invoice payments
- Resolve problems with vendor set up and payments
- Assist in Developing efficiencies and standardization of processes
- Provide support to vendors and internal partners related to accounts payable and accounting issues
- Ad hoc tasks and reporting, as assigned by leadership
Basic Qualifications - What You Will Bring to the Team
- Demonstrated exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform other job responsibilities in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
- Proven experience and strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes & functions
- Experience processing invoices in SAP or similar system
- Work proactively, independently, and as a strategic partner in a team environment
- Demonstrated robust partnership/networking with ability to manage conflict resolution
- Robust organizational and decision-making skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Excel in effective and concise verbal and written communication, comfortable working with all levels of the organization
- Proactively seek out process improvements and refine manual functions
- Ability to adapt to change management
- Willingness to learn new software applications
- Flexibility in changing processes and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in Seaware (FIT), Business Objects, and all Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge and understanding of Disney Cruise Line & Adventures policies and procedures
- Understanding of accounting fundamentals (e.g., debit/credits, financial statements)
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education
Degree in Accounting/Finance, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field
