Job Responsibility:
First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an experienced, organized and team-oriented Assistant Vice President & Wholesale Banking Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Services Division team. In this role, you'll be responsible for Business Intelligence (BI), wholesale banking reporting and data analysis, which includes: analyzing business intelligence data to drive business and product decisions; blending historical data from available industry reports, public information, field reports or purchased sources as input to analyses; identifying and analyzing industry/geographic trends and competitor market strategies and monitoring current/potential customer trends; partnering with business units (e.g., Enterprise Data & Analytics, Marketing, Risk, Customer Service, etc.) to model the outcome of implementing potential business strategies; and conducting operational financial analysis, executive presentations, and action planning consulting.
The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (hours may vary)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Master's degree in business intelligence, communications, business administration, computer science, information systems, data science, or quantitative analysis required.
- SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence 4.2 required.
- Tableau Certified Data Analyst or equivalent required.
- ThoughtSpot Professional or equivalent required.
- Tableau Server Certified Associate or equivalent preferred.
- Required experience may be obtained concurrently.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, which includes a minimum of 4 years in business intelligence roles with increasing responsibilities and business intelligence tool capabilities.
- 2+ years of work experience in the financial and banking industry or related experience.
- Working knowledge of database constructs, report writing/visualization, and spreadsheet applications.
- Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills essential to communicate with all levels of management and influencing skills to articulate, motivate and engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to deliver presentations in front and a large group when necessary.
- Self-motivated, organized to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to work independently.
- Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple competing deadlines with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to apply effective critical thinking skills towards complex problems and offer logical solutions.
- Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
- Able to handle confidential matters judiciously.
- Ability to build trust and handle confidential matters judiciously.
