We are seeking a Sr Credit Control Analyst to oversee a small group of employees to support them in the Credit & Collections processes. They will partner with a broad number of external and internal business partners, such as Clients, Commercial & Commercial Finance Team, Project Management, Accounting, and Depots. The focus is on driving day to day collections activities to achieve collection efficiency, percent past due, DSO and bad debt goals. This position has supervisory/administrative responsibility for development of staff members, including hiring, performance development and annual review, disciplinary actions, mentor and counseling, personal development and career advancement & succession planning

What you will do:

  • Issues statements to sponsors and proactively chases debt to ensure payments are received within agreed payment terms.
  • Liaises with external clients as well as cross-departmental colleagues to ensure swift resolution of any client issues or queries raised.
  • Produces and presents regular executive-level reporting on dates sales outstanding deliverables, invoicing metrics, accounts receivable and payment analysis. Provides additional ad-hoc reporting when required.
  • Provides accurate forecasting of third party accounts' receivable cash inflow and facilitates cross-departmental cash movements in order to achieve days sales outstanding.
  • Reconciles accounts receivables, third party balances and statements with payments received to determine cash flow risks and opportunities.
  • Executes sponsor financial analysis reports to determine creditability.
  • Facilitates credit check function and performs ad hoc projects relating to bad debt provision, bad debt write off, etc.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Years of Experience:

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).
