Summary: : We are currently seeking experienced aircraft Loads and Dynamics Engineer: to support a variety of aerospace development programs. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will provide technical expertise and develop solutions to support the design, analysis, and certification of new aircraft, aircraft modifications, and space launch vehicles. Working independently and as part of small, fast moving teams on advanced development projects, you'll find your collaboration and communication skills are an essential part of the job. You will perform a wide variety of analyses, support testing, and prepare documentation for aircraft and spacecraft that push the boundaries of what's possible in aerospace today. Qualifications: : Must possess experience in aircraft static loads and/or dynamic loads analysis. Must possess experience with MSC NASTRAN, ZAERO, or a comparable tool. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills. Must possess comfort and skill with basic programs including Microsoft Office. Must possess experience developing aeroelastic analysis models. Must possess programming experience in one or more of MATLAB, Python, and PERL. Experience in spacecraft loads or aircraft flutter analysis a plus. Familiarity with Patran, FEMAP, RCAS, Adams, or comparable tools a plus. Expectations:: Specific tasks may include any or all of the following:
    • Perform static maneuver loads analysis for aircraft and launch vehicles
    • Perform dynamic gust and turbulence analysis for aircraft and launch vehicles
    • Perform static and dynamic ground analyses for aircraft and launch vehicles
    • Support flight and ground test planning, execution, and data reduction (flight load survey, flutter envelope expansion, ground vibration, static test, qual & acceptance testing)
    • Support aircraft flutter analysis including propeller whirl flutter
Location:: The work is located in Seattle, WA and will be primarily a hybrid based work environment which consists of both onsite and work-from-home options. Each project would be dependent upon the role and experience. Applicants should be prepared to reside within a commuting distance of the Seattle area. Experience:: Loads and Dynamics Engineer: 5+ years of applied experience Senior Loads and Dynamics Engineer: 10+ years of applied experience Education:: B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent. ITAR Compliance - U.S. Persons Requirement:: Applicants must be able to show proof of U.S. citizenship or ‘Green Card' as part of the ability to meet ITAR Compliance standards.
